After the Birth, Grits, Run and Ninja Scrolls - 2003-10-20 16:36:35

We Pop is playing on a few music video television stations right now and we expect it to get video play this week on the major music video channels. RZA also explained why he wanted to push the release date for Birth Of A Prince a month forward. It was supposed to drop in November but he wanted to drop it without promotion to see how big the hardcore fan base is. Like said previously, he was very happy with his first week sales and now it’s time to promote the album through new videos and other forms of advertisement.

Meanwhile, we have a little treat for all of the loyal Wu-Tang Corp. visitors. At RZA’s audio page you can download the original version of “Grits” featuring Masta Killa. This one was a little beat remixed and the vocals were recorded for the final version, so this is like the demo version. Slightly different beat and vocals and the original is shorter than the album version (which means: less singing) This version was originally intended to turn up on Masta Killa’s No Said Date.

Also, a new song on Ghostface Killah’s audio page, a RZA produced gem featuring Jadakiss named Run. It’s for Ghost’s upcoming Pretty Tony album. You can download that too.

In other RZA news: RZA recently recorded a new song with Ghostface Killah and Method Man at SOS Studios. They don’t know yet where this will turn up but the name of the song is Ninja Scrolls.
