RZA was at Uma Thurman’s private party yesterday and according to him it was really dope. He got a lot of respect for his Birth Of A Prince LP, which dropped also yesterday, and for the work he did for Quentin Tarentino’s upcoming movie Kill Bill, which is starring Uma Thurman herself.
Promotion for the album has been a little weak, said RZA, but he wanted to get the LP out as fast as possible. Sanctuary was unable to operate as fast as he wanted, which was expected because of the short time span. He’s not worried about it though, he already has two videos ready to promote album and the third (Chi Kung) is in the works. Wu-Tang Corp. will have the ‘making-of’ video soon available on the website. The other videos are for We Pop, Grits. We Pop has been submitted to BET, MTV and other music channels today.
RZA’s visit at Virgin in New York turned out to be a huge success since 400 people showed up to watch RZA live. He also announced that he’ll be touring through the USA between October 20th and November 20th together with Ghostface Killah.
Raekwon will be touring Europe in December of this year. A world tour for Method Man and Ghostface Killah is also in the works.
Masta Killa is currently busy finishing up his album. He’s working on the final finishing touches. He’s still scheduled to drop early 2004. Method Man will drop his long delayed Tical 0: The Prequel November 11th, 2003.
Riverhead is releasing the first Wu-Tang book next year in May named The Wu-Tang Manual.
RZA will be hosting a Hip-Hop version of American Idol on MTV which begins airing in 2004.
This Sunday Cilvaringz will be performing at Ahoy in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) together with some of Holland’s biggest artists such as Acda & De Munnik, Krezip, Marco Borsato, Trijntje Oosterhuis and a lot more for Warchild.
