RZA, who has already composed the scores for pictures including both "Kill Bill" films, "Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai", "Blood Of A Champion" and "Blade: Trinity" among others, has recently signed on to write music for animated project " Afro Samurai ".

Directed by Takashi Okazaki and featuring Samuel L. Jackson on main voice-over role and co-production is based on a graphic novel created by Takashi Okazaki. It features a fusion of Afro American culture - represented by hip hop - and Japanese samurai culture. "Afro Samurai" is planned for release at the end of 2006 on television nationwide in the United States and following that it will be reverse imported into Japan and released with English voiceovers and Japanese subtitles.
